Payment Options

Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not offer billing or in-house payment plans.
We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. Cash is accepted in US funds only.  There are several banks and credit unions conveniently located in the Fort Kent area where funds may be exchanged prior to your appointment.  All cards must be signed and presented by the owner of the card.

When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well.  Payment plans are available through an independent company called CareCredit.  This credit service offers online applications at www.CareCredit.com or you may fill out an application at our office for instant approval.  Once approved, you may use CareCredit a single time or continuing using it for all of your pet's medical needs, and the service is accepted by many veterinary hospitals across the country in case you travel or relocate.

Highlights of the CareCredit program:

  • Low Monthly Payments (3% of the Total Balance)
  • Charges over $300 Interest- Free For 3 Months
  • Determine Approval in a Few Minutes
  • No Annual Fee

We encourage clients without other forms of credit to apply for a CareCredit account prior to occurrence of any accident or illness.  This way you will have peace of mind and one less thing to worry about in a time of stress should your pet become ill or injured.

 Insurance For Your Pets

Another popular option for your family and pet is insurance coverage. To learn more, please vist the following pet insurance websites . . .

More companies are offering pet insurance every year.  Comprehensive policies may cover everything including routine check-ups and vaccinations, while low-cost plans are available for less extensive protection.  This coverage can be life-saving in the face of an expensive fracture repair if your pet is struck by a car, or to cover a hospitalization if your pet eats a toxic substance or a toy that must be surgically removed.

Please be aware that in most cases, you must still pay for your pet's care upfront and present receipts to the insurance company to receive reimbursement.
